My story:

Hi, I am a Mommy of 6. Their ages are 10, 9, Angel, 5, 4, and 7 weeks. I was only able to nurse my first son for 3 weeks. I remember feeling devastated that we couldn’t get a good latch. I cried for weeks. With my second son he would latch on only sometimes, and I didn’t feel that comfortable. I ended up exclusively pumping for 6 months. I had a single electric pump. With my third son, he latched on and nursed a little better than the last. I still had problems and I ended up once again pumping exclusively for 6 months with that single electric pump. 15 months later, my daughter was born and she nursed only sometimes. So once again I pumped exclusively for her for 6 months. I remember when I was ready to stop pumping she decided she wanted to latch on, but by then there was no more milk. Now with my 6th baby nursing is going amazing. I am more comfortable and at ease. I still pump because I produce so much milk, sometimes I pump out 10-14ozs, and this time I have a double pump. She latches on beautifully and I believe she prefers to nurse than taking the bottle. I can nurse her in many positions and I know that she is getting as much milk as she needs. She is getting to be a big baby!!! I can’t really describe the feeling I feel when I nurse my daughter. I feel special and like I’m doing my job. I actually feel like I can do this for a year or longer and not just 6 months!
